Stargazer Lilies are from the Oriental Lily group known for their fragrant perfume. Beautiful and bright, they grow and do best in full sunlight. With a flower language of aspirations, the motivation of this work ties back to the mission of Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS) to promote and nurture Indian arts and culture though inspired learning.
This particular type of Lilies are also a common sight in Singapore amongst the flower markets and the choice to capture them rather permanently on the wall is that they are easily recognised. While one reminisces the memories of the past with the flower, new memories are also forged in this very district of Little India.
Stargazer’s Wish is a good wish upon SIFAS for their fragrance to travel near and far, starting from their homeground on Starlight Road.
